Thursday night was a night that can go down in the books.
First of all, it was Darnell’s 21st birthday and second of all
Teatro Kaptial had no cover charge to get in. Teatro Kapital is a 7 story high discoteca
and one of the biggest one’s in all of Spain. In order to get in free, we
needed to go to La Lupe, a bar just around the corner, to obtain the flyers
with the promotion. Mission complete, we get inside for free. This place is
ENORMOUS. We were one of the first
people in there so we really got a good peak at what this place actually looks
like without being flooded with people.
Each
floor has a different genre of music, atmosphere, and layout. We started at the top. The 7th floor
had an open roof and was more of a lounge type setting. The next floor had literally no one on it
which was sort of strange. The 5th level had a small dance floor and
a good amount of people. The cool part was the ability to look down through a
window and see what’s below you or the main dance area with the DJ.

Once we got
down to the 1st floor, we were packed like sardines. Next thing I knew,
a ribbon acrobat was right next to me getting ready to perform a stunt. It was a ton of fun. Every 25 minutes they
would spray this cold fog which felt so good and was a cool concept at the same
time (no pun intended). We wanted more! The party didn’t end till 5:30 AM but
we left way before that. It’s amazing how late people can stay out, but that’s
part of the culture and lifestyle here in Spain. This is definitely a place to
go back to exclusively on a night where it’s free entry because us college
students are on a budget!
